We could do nothing…

but we don’t. We innovate to bring forward a better world. Throughout history there are icons that lived this attitude. Henry Ford helped put America on wheels. Thomas Edison illuminated society. Rosa Parks drove social change. The innovators of yesterday will always inspire, but we also need to take a moment to recognize the innovators of today and the problems they strive to solve. They could do nothing, but they don’t. Nothing is not an option. They do what leaders do: take it forward.

Doing something about it.

Innovation requires action, so that means putting a campaign to work. The Henry Ford has a diverse audience that spans nearly all age ranges, so a split media strategy was the plan to cover that. Print was more targeted to older audience and digital was aimed at everyone else that tended to be more online. Wherever the message traveled, placement was bold: two-page spread, large mastheads and web page takeovers. Sometimes important messages need to go loud to go far.

There are problems today that seem insurmountable. There are also innovators that embody the spirit of Thomas Edison who don’t see it that way.
