A new home tour doesn’t always go the way one hopes. An agent might overlook things or important features might be hidden from view. For Meritage Homes, the assignment was to reinvent the home tour and draw attention to the features you don’t see. Like spray foam insulation and high-tech HVAC. The solution was two-parts: videos that were fun and engaging for their website and a new sign system for the tour itself. The signs not only gave deeper insight to how Meritage builds, but featured QR codes that link to instructional videos of their home-building tech. And that fun and engaging part? Animation and allegory played that role.
Sign Tour
Throughout the tour, signs were placed at strategic locations with a QR code to deliver a specific result. Just stepping into the house? Scan the code and get a brochure about that home’s unique layout. Near a bedroom? Scan to see an explainer video about how HVAC filters out bacteria and viruses. Each stop along the way delivers fun and pithy language while using visuals from each specific video. And one of the best parts? You can show up and take the tour yourself. An agent doesn’t need to be there for homebuyers to have a uniquely positive experience.
